The Challenge

How can a high-volume hardware retailer modernize a legacy backend and complex product catalog without disrupting business operations, while simultaneously improving site performance and reducing cart abandonment?

Mira Commerce began with a strategic deep dive into the constraints of the existing BigCommerce V2 environment. The primary goal was a seamless move to the V3 catalog structure, which offers the advanced flexibility required to manage intricate product variations and technical attributes. This migration was essential for future-proofing the brand's digital operations and enabling modern merchandising strategies.

The user experience was completely reimagined through a comprehensive site overhaul. We moved away from restrictive legacy templates toward a fully branded interface designed for technical shoppers. A significant focus was placed on the Product Detail Page (PDP) logic, where we built complex configuration tools to help customers navigate a vast array of hardware specifications with ease. On the Product Listing Pages (PLPs), we introduced refined merchandising controls to prioritize high-value and relevant products.

To ensure rapid findability, we integrated Doofinder, an AI-powered search solution that delivers intelligent auto-search functionality across the massive catalog. Our engineering team also prioritized technical performance by optimizing frontend code to meet strict Core Web Vitals standards. The entire go-live process was a masterclass in collaboration, executed in real-time to ensure zero downtime and a completely transparent transition for the customer base.
