About The Job
Type of Contract: Full Time (not outsourcing)
Location: United States, fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Consulting
- Growth Roadmapping: Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month strategic roadmap for each client, aligning technical initiatives with business KPIs (Conversion Rate, AOV, LTV).
- Performance Analysis: Conduct periodic business reviews using data (GA4, platform analytics, etc.) to identify "leaks" in the client's commerce funnel and recommend optimizations.
- Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of ecommerce trends including Composable Commerce, AI personalization, and unified retail to serve as a trusted advisor on "what’s next."
- Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs): Lead high-impact QBRs that focus on business results, strategic shifts, and long-term vision rather than tactical task lists.
2. Commercial Growth & Account Health
- Revenue Ownership: Own the P\&L for a portfolio of accounts, with a direct focus on achieving annual upsell, cross-sell, and retention targets.
- Expansion Strategy: Proactively identify gaps in the client’s tech stack or marketing strategy and propose Mira services to fill them.
- Contract Management: Lead the negotiation and creation of work orders and service agreements, ensuring they are commercially sound for Mira and provide high value for the client.
- Escalation Leadership: Act as the ultimate commercial escalation point for client concerns, ensuring that high-level issues are resolved while maintaining a positive long-term relationship.
3. Pre-Sales & Brand Authority
- Strategic Pitching: Represent Mira in pre-sales engagements as the "Strategic Lead," helping prospects visualize the long-term partnership and business outcomes.
- Proposal Architecture: Partner with the Sales team to craft tailored value propositions and strategic solutions for high-priority prospects.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Contribute to Mira’s market authority by participating in webinars, case studies, or internal training sessions on commerce best practices.
4. Internal Synergy & Advocacy
- The "Strategic Filter": Provide a business lens to internal delivery teams, ensuring that technical solutions are optimized for the client’s specific commercial goals.
- Portfolio Health Tracking: Monitor the "pulse" of accounts, providing early warnings to leadership regarding potential churn or resource needs.
- Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior team members on consultative selling and strategic account management techniques.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ Years of Senior Leadership: Proven experience in Account Management or Strategic Consulting within an Ecommerce/Digital Marketing agency; "brand-side" experience (e.g., VP of Ecommerce or Head of Growth) is highly valued.
- Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated success managing and growing a $2M-$5M+ book of business through aggressive organic expansion and strategic cross-selling.
- Vertical Expertise: Deep experience in B2B Industrial commerce (complex logic, ERP integrations) or high-velocity retail sectors.
- Modern Commerce Stack: Expert-level understanding of BigCommerce, Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, and Salesforce, with a strong focus on MACH/Composable architectures.
- The "Glue" of Ecommerce: Working knowledge of commerce platforms and systems - including CMS, PIM, DAM, ERP, OMS, Search, iPaaS and other.
- AI & Innovation: Experience implementing AI-powered discovery, personalization platforms, and predictive analytics, including an understanding of AI governance and data privacy.
- C-Suite Data Narrative: Advanced ability to translate complex data (GA4, BI tools) into a strategic narrative that justifies business decisions to CEOs and CFOs.
- Financial Modeling: Ability to build ROI/TCO models and business cases to defend technical investments and transformation projects.
- Strategic Authority: Exceptional presentation skills with the "consultant’s backbone" - the ability to respectfully challenge a client’s thinking to drive superior business outcomes.
- Thought Leadership: A track record of contributing to the broader commerce community through public speaking, whitepapers, or webinars.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced business strategy certification preferred.
- US work authorization is mandatory.
- Fluency / proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
