Mira Commerce is growing, and we are elevating our technical leadership team! We are seeking an authoritative, visionary Principal Solutions Architect to serve as our premier technical advisor, enterprise strategist, and solutions architect across pre-sales and technical delivery. 

Moving beyond standard pre-sales engineering, this role demands a principal-level technologist who can bridge business vision and complex engineering execution. You will collaborate directly with C-suite client executives, Technology & Marketing Leaders, Delivery and Engineering Directors to design, pitch, and govern cutting-edge, enterprise-grade digital commerce ecosystems. Our focus centers on modern MACH architectures (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless), AI-powered composable solutions leveraging enterprise platforms like BigCommerce / Contentstack, Algolia, Bloomreach, Vercel, and other best-of-breed tech stacks.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Pre-Sales Leadership & Strategic Solution Design

• C-Suite & Enterprise Engagement: Lead technical discovery and architectural alignment sessions with enterprise prospects and clients, translating high-level business goals into scalable, resilient digital commerce roadmaps.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Executives, Engagement Managers, and Engineering Leads to design solution architectures, develop proposals, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and provide accurate work estimates and implementation plans. Proposal & RFP Governance: Partner closely with Sales Executives and Delivery Leads to author high-impact proposals, author comprehensive responses to complex RFIs/RFPs, and establish accurate work estimates (LOEs) and technical delivery models.

• Executive Pitching & Demos: Deliver compelling architectural presentations, pitch decks, and technical demonstrations that showcase headless, composable commerce scenarios, highlighting competitive differentiation and business ROI to executive stakeholders.

Composable Architecture, Governance & IP Creation

• Architecture Standards: Serve as the final authority on enterprise solutions architecture, maintaining deep platform expertise in BigCommerce, headless CMS, PIM, ERP, OMS, and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Next.js, React).

• Delivery Assurance: Review and govern complex project designs across active delivery teams to guarantee architectural integrity, high-performance benchmarks, and security compliance.

• IP & Accelerator Development: Spearhead the creation of reusable enterprise assets, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), reference templates, and integration accelerators to standardize and streamline agency-wide project delivery.

Technical mentorship & Engineering Enablement

• Best Practice Definition: Partner with Engineering Management to define, enforce, and evolve agency standards across modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, cloud DevOps (AWS/GCP), and API-first workflows.

• Mentorship & Talent Elevation: Coach and mentor Senior Architects, Tech Leads, and Developers, nurturing talent and fostering a high-performance engineering culture across the organization.

• Thought Leadership & Training: Design and execute structured internal enablement programs, tech talks, and strategic architecture workshops to ensure Mira Commerce stays ahead of industry trends.

Job Requirements

• Senior-Level Experience: 8+ years of total experience in digital commerce architecture or IT consulting, with at least 5+ years driving enterprise-scale MACH/composable commerce implementations from discovery through launch.

• Deep SaaS & Platform Mastery: Hands-on technical mastery of BigCommerce (strongly preferred) or comparable SaaS/headless platforms (e.g., commercetools, Shopify Plus etc.).
• Composable & API Expertise: Proven track record designing complex API integrations across ERP, PIM, CRM, search/discovery (Algolia, Constructor), and OMS/ERP ecosystems, paired with modern headless frontend frameworks (Next.js, React, Vue).
• Consultative Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and consultative skills; able to comfortably present complex technical solutions to non-technical C-level executives and dive deep into code or API schemas with senior engineers.
• SI / Agency Background: Demonstrated success working within a digital agency, systems integrator, or technology consultancy supporting enterprise-grade B2B and B2C clients.
• DevOps & Cloud Fundamentals: Practical knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS or GCP), API gateway setups, event-driven architectures, and modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
