QA Manager

Type of Contract: Full Time (not outsourcing)


Location: Argentina, fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment while ensuring adherence to best practices in automation/manual, performance, and functional testing.
• Actively participate and contribute to projects by ensuring quality throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including developers, project managers, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders) to understand product requirements and ensure that testing aligns with business goals and user needs.
• Drive the resolution of production issues by actively working with clients and internal teams to identify root causes and lead efforts toward effective, timely solutions.
• Ensure the highest quality and usability standards are maintained by working closely with design, UX teams, and business stakeholders, focusing on the performance, ease of use, and reliability of the product.
• Manage and execute comprehensive testing by designing, developing, and running high-quality test scripts, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and project requirements.
• Collaborate in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Automation framework.
• Oversee and analyze test results to assess compliance with requirements, providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Take ownership and responsibility for quality assurance documentation including layout, flows, and software development procedures, ensuring that they accurately verify product functionality in line with requirements.
• Mentor QA team members and provide guidance on best practices.
• Conduct training sessions or workshops to improve the team's understanding of testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

• Professional training or education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 3+ years of prior experience as a QA/QC tester with hands-on experience in manual and automated test/script development.
• Solid experience working with Jira/Confluence & QA tools: Browserstack, Playwright, testRail, pageSpeed, wave, nvda, Postman & Rich Results.
• Practical experience working within an Agile/Scrum process is essential.
• English fluency at C1-C2 level.
• Strong self-driven work ethic with the ability to manage priorities and deliver results.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and create effective testing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools to automate and streamline testing processes is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into automated testing environments is a strong plus.
• Prior software development experience, especially in scripting languages, e.g. Javascript, Phyton, etc. is a plus.
• Prior experience in testing eCommerce platforms and applications is a strong advantage.
